What is xtrading?

xtrading is an autonomous AI agent for the Hyperliquid perp DEX - a decentralized perpetual exchange for on-chain BTC and ETH perpetual futures. The agent enters and exits positions on the user's behalf 24/7, with stop-loss enforced on every trade and a Genesis sub-wallet funded at $250–$1,000 of margin running 3–5× leverage by design - so position notional sits between $750 and $5,000 per trade. Custody stays with the user via a Hyperliquid sub-wallet that can place trades but cannot withdraw funds. xtrading is built around discipline, not feature count.

01 / The problem

Most blown accounts aren't killed by the market. They're killed by the trader.

→ 01

You set a stop-loss. Then you moved it when price approached. You said "just this once."

→ 02

You took a loss. Then you doubled down. Revenge trades fire from the brainstem, not the chart.

→ 03

The market went sideways for three hours. You forced a trade because boredom is expensive.

→ 04

It's 3am. BTC just moved 4%. You're awake. The agent isn't.

02 / How it works

Every five minutes, the agent thinks.

STEP 01

Evaluate

RSI, MACD, Bollinger, ATR, EMAs. Order book imbalance. Funding rate. 4h structure. 5m entry confirmation. Every five minutes. No exceptions.

STEP 02

Decide

If confidence is below 60% or risk-reward is below 1.5, the agent does nothing. Doing nothing is statistically the best trade most of the time. The agent is good at it.

STEP 03

Protect

Stop-loss is placed as a trigger order on Hyperliquid the same instant the position opens. Not on our servers. On the exchange. If we vanish, your stop still fires.

03 / Compare

The category sells bots. We sell discipline.

If you came here looking for…

  • a perp DEX trading bot — same category, different operating model. xtrading runs an autonomous AI agent rather than a configurable bot. More in the FAQ.
  • a GMX bot or dYdX bot — xtrading is the closest agentic-trading equivalent for Hyperliquid. Different venue; same problem solved.
  • Hyperliquid copy trading — xtrading is not copy trading. The agent decides on its own, every five minutes; there is no leader to follow.
  • onchain trading agent / DeFi trading automation — the agent's stop-loss is placed on-chain on Hyperliquid the same instant the position opens, and your funds stay non-custodial via sub-wallet authorization.
  • automated trading on Hyperliquid / perpetual DEX automation — that's the core product. 24/7 BTC and ETH. $250–$1,000 sub-wallet margin hard cap. 3–5× leverage. Every five minutes.
04 / Safety

What stops the agent from doing what you would.

$1k

Wallet, funded small by design

You fund the Genesis sub-wallet with $250–$1,000 of USDC. The agent only sees the sub-wallet, not your main Hyperliquid account - so unspent capital in your main account is never at risk, even if it holds $50,000. Discipline by design, not architectural impossibility.

3%

Daily loss cap, enforced

Cumulative realized loss hits 3% of the sub-wallet's USDC balance (measured at the start of each 24h window) → no new trades for 24h. Open positions keep running with their stops. The agent is built to cool off.

3–5×

Leverage, in a friendly band

The agent runs in the 3–5× range. Margin × leverage means positions sit between $750 and $5,000 notional. A 4% stop at 3× caps a single losing trade at ~12% of margin; the same stop at 20× would cap it at 80%. The agent does the friendly math.

🔒

Custody, stays with you

The agent runs from a sub-wallet you approve once. The sub-wallet can place trades. It cannot withdraw. Your funds never leave your Hyperliquid account. Cancel any time by revoking the sub-wallet on Hyperliquid - open positions stay there with their on-chain stop-losses intact.

05 / Setup

Four steps. Then the agent takes the wheel.

01
Connect wallet

Link any EVM wallet - MetaMask, Rabby, Frame. Used to identify your Hyperliquid account. Your private key never leaves your device.

~30 sec · one click
02
Link Telegram

Tap a deep link, send the verify command to @XTradingAlertsBot. From here on, every trade pings you in real time. No app to install.

~30 sec · one OTP
03
Approve sub-wallet

One signature on Hyperliquid creates a dedicated sub-wallet for the agent. The sub-wallet can place trades. It cannot withdraw funds. Ever.

~60 sec · one signature
04
Activate

Acknowledge the risk disclaimer. Choose whether the agent should adopt your existing positions or skip them. Done - the agent starts trading on the next 5-minute cycle.

~30 sec · one tap
Before you start

You will need $250 minimum USDC on Hyperliquid (bridge from Arbitrum if it's your first time - that adds a few minutes). You then fund the agent's sub-wallet with $250–$1,000; it operates only on that, never on your main account. The agent runs in 3–5× leverage, so positions sit between $750 and $5,000 notional. Stop-losses are placed on Hyperliquid as on-chain trigger orders the same instant a position opens; in extreme moves they can fill at worse prices than the trigger.

07 / Questions

Everything we'd want to know before trusting an agent with our money.

Can the agent lose money? +
Yes. AI trading involves risk. The agent makes mistakes. The 4% stop-loss on every trade and the 3% daily loss cap limit downside on each trade and each day, but losses are possible. Past performance does not predict future results. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
What if my sub-wallet balance drops below $250? +
The agent pauses new trades. You'll get a Telegram alert. Trading resumes automatically when the sub-wallet's USDC balance crosses back above $250. Your main Hyperliquid account is not part of this calculation - the agent only sees the sub-wallet you authorized. You don't have to do anything; existing open positions keep running with their on-chain stops.
Can I still trade manually? +
Yes. The agent only operates on the sub-wallet you authorize, so anything in your main Hyperliquid account is yours to trade manually without interference. If you ALSO trade inside the sub-wallet, you and the agent share that margin pool - the agent skips any asset where you already hold a sub-wallet position by default, but stops on agent positions still reduce buying power for your manual trades. You can opt in to letting the agent take over existing sub-wallet positions; it will normalize leverage into the 3–5× range and place stop-loss / take-profit on-chain.
What stops the agent from getting hacked? +
Custody architecture. The agent runs from a Hyperliquid sub-wallet you approve once. The sub-wallet can place trades. It cannot withdraw. Even in the worst case, the only damage possible is bad trades - never stolen funds. Your wallet's keys never leave your wallet.
What happens after the 30-day Genesis trial? +
The agent stops placing new trades on day 30. Your existing positions stay open and exit normally via stop-loss or take-profit. There is no card on file, so no surprise charges. We'll reach out to Genesis members before the trial ends to discuss continued access - what comes next is shaped by what the first 100 traders say it's worth.
Why only BTC and ETH? +
Liquidity is real. On most other Hyperliquid perps, the spread and slippage eat into edge. We'll add pairs when the math says they're worth trading - not when they'd look good in a feature list. The agent's job is to make you money, not to look comprehensive.
What's the difference between this and Hummingbot or Katoshi? +
Hummingbot is open-source infrastructure - you write strategies. Katoshi lets you describe strategies in natural language - you still write them. xtrading runs an agent that decides on its own. You connect, you approve, you watch. There's no strategy file, no prompt, no configuration required.
Is xtrading a perp DEX trading bot? +
xtrading sits in the same category as a perp DEX trading bot, but it isn't one. A perp DEX trading bot executes a strategy you configure. xtrading runs an autonomous AI trading agent - the agent decides on its own whether to trade, when, and how, every five minutes. Stop-loss on every trade. $250–$1,000 sub-wallet margin hard cap. 3–5× leverage. By design.
Is this a GMX bot or a dYdX bot? +
No. xtrading runs only on Hyperliquid - the leading on-chain perp DEX. If you're searching for a GMX bot or a dYdX bot, xtrading is the closest agentic-trading equivalent for Hyperliquid: an autonomous AI agent rather than a configurable bot, non-custodial sub-wallet authorization, and on-chain stop-loss on every trade. Hyperliquid's deep on-chain liquidity, native order-book matching engine, and trigger-order primitive are part of what makes the agent's discipline possible.
Is this Hyperliquid copy trading? +
No. Hyperliquid copy trading mirrors another trader's positions in real time. xtrading runs an autonomous AI agent that decides for itself, every five minutes, whether to open a position. There's no leader or follower. The agent evaluates BTC and ETH perpetual futures using multi-timeframe technicals, order-book imbalance, funding rate, and structural support/resistance, and only opens a trade when its confidence and risk-reward thresholds are both satisfied.
Where can I use it? Any region restrictions? +
xtrading is a layer on top of Hyperliquid. Wherever you can use Hyperliquid, you can use the agent. Hyperliquid restricts certain jurisdictions including the United States - those restrictions apply here too.
